Kynance Cove
Kynance Cove is a stunning cove located a couple of miles away from Lizard Point. Boasting white sand, clear turquoise waters, towering rock stacks and sea caves at low tide it is clear to see why it provided the perfect setting for filming Poldark. One of the rocks is named after Prince Albert who visited with his children in 1846. This idyllic location doubled up as Nampara, on Ross Poldark’s estate. In series two Kynance Cove was the location for the filming of the fishing scene, when Ross rescues Demelza from the boat when  she went into labour with their son, Jeremy. The breathtaking coastline of this area, such as nearby Predannack Wollas was also used for filming Ross Poldark’s dramatic clifftop gallops on horseback.
