Penberth Cove
Penberth Cove is a beautiful and unspoilt fishing hamlet with a granite cobbled slipway.  At the top of the slipway had been an impressive capstan for the fishermen to pull the boats from the water. Now there is an electric winch in place. This picturesque fishing cove was a perfect setting in the second series of Poldark for the location of the home of Rosina Hoblyn, where Dr Enys met Rosina and treated her knee. It was also the residence of the ‘informer’, Charlie Kempthorne, who had been Rosina’s fiancé until Dr Enys had  fought with him and uncovered his secret. The track leading up from Penberth is where Dr Enys first tells Caroline Penvenen of his feelings for her.
