St Breward provided the setting for the filming of the exterior of Nampara Cottage, home of Ross and Demelza Poldark and their young son, Jeremy, in series two. Also filmed nearby were scenes of  the miners’ cottages and members of the cast riding horseback on the moorland. The village of St Breward is near the top of The Camel Trail, a beautiful cycle trail on a disused railway line which runs alongside the River Camel and links the towns of Bodmin, Wadebridge and Padstow.  The Trail is a very popular tourist attraction and actresses Heida Reed (Elizabeth) and Ruby Bentall (Verity) enjoyed a cycle ride on the Trail on a day off from filming.
