Levant Mine
Levant Mine was used when filming Poldark for the location of Tressiders Rolling Mill. Levant Mine, sits on the rugged cliffs of the area referred to as the ‘Tin Coast’. The ‘Tin Coast’ is about seven miles of stunning coastline between Pendeen lighthouse and Cape Cornwall and which is home to engine houses and chimneys perched proudly on the exposed and rugged cliff tops, evidence of the past tin and copper mining industry of the area which is shown in Poldark.  Levant Mine is rich in mining history and its workings extend over a mile out under the sea bed. Levant Mine is part of the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site.
