Loe Bar Beach
Loe Bar Beach is located north of Gunwalloe in Cornwall. The Loe is a lake that is separated from the sea by a half-mile shingle bank known as the Bar. This fresh water lake also happens to be the largest of its kind in Cornwall.
While the beach's rugged beauty is breathtaking, it's also essential to note that it can be very dangerous due to its unpredictable currents and strong waves. The shingle bank can be slippery and steep, making it challenging to navigate, and the tides can change quickly. As a result, visitors are advised to stay out of the water and take great care when walking around the beach.
There are plenty of trails around the Loe which are worth exploring by foot. There is also plenty of wildlife in the area, including rare birds, flowers and insects to admire.
