This spot is perfect for swimming and surfing, with good waves for beginners and experienced surfers. The long stretch of sand is perfect for beach games and relaxing walks, and there are plenty of rock pools for the family to explore.

Located approximately 9km away from Newquay, Mawgan Porth beach offers a peaceful escape from the summer crowds while still boasting the same stunning golden sands and coastline. The beach is sheltered by towering cliffs on either side, providing a tranquil atmosphere. Even on the busiest of days, there is plenty of sand for everyone to enjoy at low tide.

Bedruthan Steps is located 2.5km to the north and is a magnificent stretch of coastline featuring a series of towering cliff formations and rock stacks. The area is known for its rugged beauty and is a popular destination for hiking and exploring. It is not possible to access the beach at this time, however, there is a car park so the coastline can be viewed from above. NB this is a pay to park car park.

Watergate Bay is located 4km to the south, and is a beautiful and expansive beach. With its golden sand and crystal-clear water, it's a popular destination for surfers and families.

With easy access to the beach, beautiful surroundings and peaceful atmosphere, Mawgan Porth beach is a great destination for a day out or an extended stay in Cornwall.
