The award winning 'The Riverside' is nestled in a secluded valley. We have a thirteen bedroom establishment catering for walkers, cyclists, day trippers or holiday breaks. In addition, overlooking the River Valency, The Riverside's restaurant and tea garden is a great spot to relax with family and friends. We offer teas, coffees, lunches, cakes, homemade Cornish cream teas and evening meals.

We were awarded 'Five Star Guest Accommodation' in November 2016 with the prestigious 'Breakfast Award'. It is the seventh year we have achieved such a high accolade and shows our commitment to providing the highest quality product and service that we can.

We offer a choice of services within the restaurant during the day. For a formal affair with the evening restaurant setup elegantly for a superb dining experience, you can choose from our à la carte menu with exceptional food complemented by an extensive list of fine wines. Alternatively, the daytime tearoom is perfect for informal lunches, meals and afternoon teas. Leading from the dining room is access to our exclusive tea garden next to the running waters of the River Valency.
The perfect setting
The Riverside is situated alongside the River Valency in Boscastle, one of the picturesque parts of North Cornwall in the Southwest which is nationally recognised as being wonderful for its scenic quality. The Riverside was built around 1584 by Sir Richard Grenville of the Armada fame. We are located just off of the South West coastal path and ideally suited for those walking between Bude, Crackington Haven, Tintagel and Port Isaac.
