Bodmin Moor
Bodmin Moor offered many rural locations for the filming of Poldark and was a perfect setting for some of the horse carriage scenes. With stunning views and magnificent rock formations, this vast area of remote moorland is truly worth exploring.  The two highest Cornish Peaks, Rough Tor and Brown Willy, boast breathtaking views of the Moors, most of which have been deemed a Site of Special Scientific Interest and, understandably, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  These are the rural landscapes that many associate with Cornwall in the 18th century. Favourite locations for filming are near Rough Tor on the West side of the Moor and Minions on the East side of the Moor.
