The Camel Trail: Wadebridge to Grogley Halt

This easily accessible section of the Trail, heading in the direction of Bodmin, links the charming town of Wadebridge with the former railway platform of Grogley Halt. With beautiful trees and greenery either side of the Trail, it is both a pretty and sheltered route, perfect for the family to enjoy in all weathers.

This section of the Trail runs alongside the Camel River wetlands which are home to a wealth of wildlife including migrating birds and wild otters. As well as looking out for these, there are the old railway platforms and grit bin as a visual reminder that this Trail was once a railway line.

Bike hire is available locally in Wadebridge and again this is a popular section of the Trail for dog walkers and people out exercising.
